The present first edition, first issue, with "tyring" on page 125 rather than "trying" as in all subsequent issues, retains its original tipped in dated advance notice, "Advance Copy from Harcourt, Brace and Company. Please note the release date for review and the price." Then stamped, "Jun 3 1955 $3.50"

The only copy we trace in the auction records offered in 2018 at PBA. It fetched $2,125.00 with commissions.
