For sale here is a very good example of a mid 1920s 4 1/4â" Hardy Perfect, wide drum, duplicated Mk 2 salmon reel. Most of the original bronzing is intact and displays the true patina of unmolested early Hardy reels (hard to capture in the photos). The reel shows signs of minimal use with no line grooves, cracks or damage. Brass foot is full length at 4â", and has not been filed or shortened. It does have a slight bend in it, but still fits on rods just fine. The reel has no spindle or spool play; and makes a wonderful sound.
