Exceptionally rare volume of sermons designed explicitly for the evangelization of slaves in the stronghold of the Confederacy, Charleston, South Carolina. Through that slave port, 25% of Americans to this day can trace their arrival in America. To me, one of the great wonders of history is that there were any plantation slaves who believed the Gospel considering the evident hypocrisy of those who preached it to them.
