• Extend battery life on lead acid and agm by going to a monitoring mode instead of leaving pressure on the battery. Chargers on the market today charge to full charge then go into maintenance stage and leaves a slight charge on the battery which reduces battery life. This charger is designed to turn off completely after reaching full charge and go into a monitoring stage and will only turn back on after battery level drops to 80%. This way you can leave charger plugged in all the time if so desired. 
  
• Manual exit from Maintenance Mode requires you to unplug charger, wait 15 seconds and then plug charger back in.
