An exceptionally scarce volume in the history of the evangelization of the Jews and seen by some as one of the volumes in the genetic history of organizations like the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel among the Jews, etc., It is the first example of this text we have ever handled or offered for sale.
Lewis, Paul. A Final Call to the Jews: Or, an Explanation of the Original Promise; Being a Full and Satisfactory Answer to All Objections that ever have, shall, or may be Raised against Christianity. London. Printed for the Author; and Sold by M. Cooper, at the Globe in Paternost-Press. 1744. 322 + Addenda and Errata.
Fair condition in original full calf binding. The spine has been awkwardly consolidated with some sort of adhesive. The first gathering is all weak at the gutter and rather chipped and shaken. The remainder of the text is solid and clean. Preface p.xi, xii has the lower 25% of the page lacking impacting text.
The volume would be triple the price in reasonable condition.
