Te Hononga speaks to connection — that quiet bond that forms when two energies meet and choose each other.

This is a double-sided heru with two koru facing inward, curved toward one another in a protective way. One side is deep ngahere green, the other a calm ocean blue. They feel different, but they belong together. To me, it feels like husband and wife… or balance… or just that knowing that you’re not doing life on your own.

It’s a little smaller than my four-koru heru, and that’s intentional. This piece feels more intimate. It’s one you wear close, often, and without needing to explain it. The inward-facing koru represent care, unity, and the strength that comes from being connected — whether that’s to a partner, a loved one, or even yourself.

Each Te Hononga heru is handcrafted with aroha. No two are ever exactly the same, and I actually really love that. The small variations in colour and detail are part of its story, because no two connections look the same either.
