A fascinating exposition of chapters 6 -20 of the Apocalypse. The author is so bold as to assert his exposition is "all clear, no uncertainty, no guess work."

Campbell seems to have been affiliated with a vague network of Adventist movements. The only two advertisements and reviews of the work we find contemporary to the work's publication, both positive, were issued in The Saints' Herald and Glad Tidings.

The Saints' Herald  was issued by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints [RLDS].

Glad Tidings appears to have been associated with the Church of God General Conference, McDonough, Georgia. Also known as the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith and connected to The Church of the Blessed Hope. Their roots go back to William Miller and the Millerites, Adventists, etc., though they deviated into non-trinitarianism via their deep sense of connectivity to the Old Testament. There is also significant doctrinal overlap with the development of Charles Taze Russell and The Watchtower, etc.

Campbell, David. The Judgment Period Prepatory to the Establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven. Comprising Twelve Chapters on the Apocalypse. Compiled and Published by Zenas B. Chase. Bangor, Maine. 1886. 200pp.

Also, tucked into the pages are two copies of Good News for April, 1892 by William A. Burch of New Bedford [variously connected with the Adventists and the Watch-Tower / Watchtower] and one copy of What We Believe and Why We Believe it by Adventist William N. Pile. All three items scarce.

Book itself attractive, solid, and clean; some rubbing at extremities, a bit bumped. Light toning at prelims.
