Vintage Tibetan Gau Tribal Necklace. The Gau Pendant is a "prayer box" amulet that can be opened to store prayers, mantras or healing herbs. The necklace is composed of turquoise and red colored beads along with genuine red coral branches. The Gau is beautifully decorated will filigree designs and red and blue cabochons. The silver content is unknown, tests to be lower than sterling. The Gau is obviously much older than the beads and the necklace stringing.

• The necklace is in very good vintage condition, with the inevitable dents and depressions on the gau that come with age
• The necklace has a lobster clasp closure
