Okay, here are the first four years of the most important American Baptist missionary publication; newly formed in the draft of the exodus of Adoniram Judson and others from the Congregationalists, it is entirely fitting the the frontis of volume one is a finely executed and very early woodcut of Adoniram Judson after A. Morris and sculpted by Freeman. 

The exploits, thoughts, and views of Judson and those who served alongside him are generously scattered throughout the works. Important for many reasons, but that certainly chief among them. An irreplaceable resource on Judson and his early influence on American Baptists in general and missions more specifically.

A Letter from Mr. Crook to William Carey, Letters from Mrs. Judson, Superb woodcuts, extensive accounts of Baptist revivals, letters from Luther Rice, etc., etc. Just stuffed with the best Baptist content imaginable. 

Original quarter cloth bindings with original plain paper boards. Rubbed, but very solid. A bit awkwardkly bound, as original, and unevenly trimmed, as usual. Some foxing and occasional spots and small closed tears.
