A very rare early imprint of the Union Republican Congressional Committee in the heat of the 1868 election between Ulysses S. Grant [R] and Horatio Seymour [D]. The four page folded sheet accuses the Southern Democrats of intentionally starting the 'First" Civil War and of readying themselves for a second if they are unsuccessful in the upcoming election.
