Secret Path is Gord Downie's fifth and final solo album, released on October 18, 2016. The album is a poignant narrative about Chanie Wenjack, a 12-year-old Anishinaabe boy who died in 1966 while attempting to escape from a Canadian residential school. The project includes a graphic novel illustrated by Jeff Lemire and an animated film, both released alongside the album. All proceeds from the album support The Gord Downie Secret Path Fund for Truth and Reconciliation.
